Bruce Edward Schick
Bruce passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on December 6, 2017 at the age of 71.
He will always be remembered for his never ending love of his family and unique sense of humor.
Bruce worked for the Government of Alberta for over 30 years before branching out with other expeditions where he made numerous friends along the way.
He is survived by his wife Christine (nee Clancy), son Steve (Claire O'Rawe) and granddaughters Jaydenn Schick and Arianna Schick.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Edward (Ed) and Robina (Ruby), daughter Lori and grandson Ryan Klaver.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Bruce's name to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Bruce's life in the spring of 2018.
I just heard of Bruce’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Bruce and I were good friends during our school days and we had more recently reconnected with the Sherbrooke School ‘oldies’. Our parents were good friends at Kirk United Church. Please let me know about the memorial service if it is open beyond Family.
Sincerely
Darwin Park

Sad to learn of Bruce’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Bruce and I were school friends from Sherbrooke and Ross Sheppard.
Saddened to hear of Bruce’s passing. Will never forget the rides on the back of his motorbike while at Sherbrooke Junior High. I regret that I did not try harder to set up a link with Bruce through our Ross Shep class site and the Sherbrooke oldies. As Darwin requested, I’d also like to know of his memorial service.
Bruce was a special member of our Sherbrooke School Oldies Gang. After a number of us reconnected and renewed the close bond we had when we were in Jr. High and also attended Kirk United Church together. Bruce was always a kind and gentle kid and well liked by all. It is with much regret to learn of Bruce’s passing and my sincere condolences to the Schick Family. May our Lord lift you up and strengthen you during your time of loss.
Blessings to all.
I send belated condolences to Bruce’s family. Bruce and I where high school friends (Ross Shepherd) and we had stayed in touch a little bit after high school. I lost touch for a number of years and then bumped into him at the 118Ave Tim Hortons after he retired. Sorry to hear of his passing.
