Gregory Paul Dauk

Greg grew up in Annaheim, Saskatchewan and St. Rose, Manitoba before moving to Edmonton in 1957. He spent his early career working construction including the building of St. John Bosco Church. My sincere condolences Gladys. I always remember Greg smiling when he came to the shop. I will be thinking of you.
Sending loving thoughts to Greg’s family, our family: the Dauk-Breker-Andersen-Groton-Embick-Pawlyk-Collins family.
I remember as a kid Uncle Greg and Tony, on leave from the navy (ship?) visiting Joe and Mary’s family… Greg’s smile and laugh pulling up his sleeve to show me his tatoos. I was much impressed/influenced and thought of them when I got a butterfly tatoo as an 18 yr old travelling in England. Good memories. I’ll be thinking of you all at 11am tomorrow : )
Gladys – I was very sad when you called me to advise of Greg’s passing. Looking back, I always enjoyed seeing you both at Myrtle’s place and knowing that you were looking after her so well. It was always my great pleasure in helping Greg wherever I could; it was really nice to share a story or two with him. Take care and keep well.
We have so many memories of Uncle Greg.
He had a red Chev car and a red Chev truck that were always spotless. The truck had a canopy on the box. Sherry, Shauna and I would ride from St.Walburg Saskatchwan in the box to visit my Aunt Phyllis and our cousins near Makwa Saskatchewan. While we rode we would play the card game UNO. The girls had to teach me how to play.
Uncle Greg had a very unique personality and voice. You always knew when he was around. He was just so friendly.
In the summer my Uncle Ed Pawlyk and him would come from Edmonton with their wives my mom’s sisters Aunt Myrtle and Aunt Gladys to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Collins. Often one would see them with a beer in hand enjoying the day and each others company.
These are a few of the many memories of Uncle Greg.
We send our sympathy to our Aunt Gladys, Shauna, Sherry’s family and the entire Dauk family.
Sending our love
Robert and John (Rhonda)
