Sandra Lynn Drysdale
The family of Sandra (Sandi) Lynn Drysdale is sadly announcing her sudden passing on July 7, 2022.
She is predeceased by her father Leslie Drysdale, her mother Marjorie Drysdale, her sister Peggy-Ann Bradcoe and her brother in law Robert Ellingson.
She was born and raised in Calgary then moved to Leduc and Devon in later years. Sandi always loved sports. She played and coached baseball, was an avid golfer and was on a variety of bowling teams both 5 and 10 pin. Sandi’s greatest love were her dogs, she even had a tattoo on her back to prove it “Dogs leave pawprints on your heart” along with 5 paw prints. The tradition of making her famous ribs and rice for Boxing Day and her niece Lisa’s birthday will be greatly missed.
“The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you, shall never fade away” – unknown
There will be no formal funeral service at this time, but if you wish, donations can be made to SCARS Second Chance Animal Rescue Society.
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Sandi. She was very dear to our hearts, and will be missed. Mike and Sandi have been very close friends since 1979, and leaves a hole in his heart.
Although it has been just over two years since the passing of Sandi, I only just became aware of this devastating news. There are no words to express the depth of sadness that I feel for the Drysdale/Ellingson families, having to endure this great loss.
Sandi was probably the best friend I ever had during our “growing up” years. We saw each other everyday for many years. Sandi was the person I did all the silly kid/teenager things with. So many amazing memories: learning to smoke, calling delivery pizza to the neighbours, “borrowing” her Moms’ car, friday night dances, underage drinking at the Highlander, first boyfriends and so much more. My youth would have been dismal without Sandi and indeed the many kindnesses afforded me by her entire family, for which I will be forever grateful.
Sandi, I will always remember you with a smile on my face and love in my heart. Thank you for being you and making such a positive difference not only in my life but in so many others . May you rest in Peace, You will always be remembered in our hearts.
