We were so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. When Uncle Tim lived with us for awhile many years ago, we have fond memories of the times that we were able to get together.

Cathy, Gary, and Wayne, I only met Robert a couple of times when he was in Newfoundland. He had a great personality, same as the whole Finn family, of course. I know that even with the miles between you you were always close and you will milss him dearly. Take care.
My Sincere condolences to Cathy, family and friends . My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Would like to pass on condolences to Rob’s family and friends. Only met Rob this summer while he was visiting his sister Cathy in Newfoundland but we enjoyed some good times out in the “dog house “. He seemed to be quite excited about his recent retirement and how he was going to spend his time. Taken away far too soon. So sorry.
Cathy, Max and Cassie. I don’t even know what to say. We’re all still in shock and wishing we could do more from NL. Know we’re sending you our thoughts and prayers and virtual hugs. Uncle Robert will always hold a special place in my heart. I treasure all the memories from his trips to NL. A few come to mind, I remember fondly traveling with you all to Clarenville and English Harbour. I drove out with you and sat between Max and Cassie in the back seat. You were pretty small but I loved helping Robert and Cathy take care of you both. I remember all the peanut butter and jam sandwiches. I also have fond memories of my time visiting you all in Edmonton. Robert gladly picked me up and dropped me off multiple times and made sure I had everything I needed for my first solo adventure. He made me feel supported and loved by family while spending that summer in Jasper. Robert was always good for a chuckle and always made me feel appreciated. I will deeply miss him. I look forward to the day I can squeeze you all!
Cathy with deepest sympathy to you and your family as you remember Rob.. Very sorry for your loss, may you be surrounded with love at this sad time.

Uncle Robert was one of the purest, and kindest men that I’ve ever had the privilege, and honour to meet. Robert lived his life to the fullest, and with no regrets. My Godfathers approach on life, and his genuine love for his family is something we all should strive for. Memories are something we should always cherish, and I’m so blessed to have had the time with Robert that I did, he will forever be a part of me.
Cathy, Cassie, and Max just know that any of us are just a phone call away, and that we will ALWAYS be there. I look forward to seeing you guys soon and celebrate his life, as he would want us to do. Sending much love from the ROCK.
TO LIVE IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE YOU LOVE IS NOT TO DIE

So sorry to hear of Robert’s passing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
Cathy and family,
Working with Bob over the past many years led to a great friendship. I will miss Bob’s sense of humour and wit. Since retirement we golfed almost every week together during the summer. We were fortunate to have visited their lake property last year. Bob always had a funny boating story to tell.
My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time!!
Cathy, Cassie & Max, my heart is broken. Sending all our love to you. Hold on to all the special memories and moments together. Rob will always be with you. He loved you dearly.
Rob was a special, kind soul. I’m so glad we got to spend time with him in the fall when he was in Newfoundland. Seeing him play with my children, Liv and James, reminded me of all the fun he had with Cassie and Max when they visited Newfoundland when they were younger.
Rob was so thoughtful and talented. Cathy recently told me about her greenhouse with lounge area that Rob built. He did so many things to support mom whenever he visited and his company meant the world to her.
Thinking of you all so much. Xoxox
My condolences to Robert Finn’s family. I had the pleasure to know Bob for the last 25 years. He cared deeply for family and friends, willing to give a helping hand at any time. We spent many hours together, car pooling to work, watching Oilers games in the garage, golfing, hanging out at his place or at the neighbors. I will miss his friendly smile, caring attitude, sense of humor and sharing stories.
RIP My friend “Bob”.
My deepest condolences to the family. We spent many of nights at Rob’s, aka Charlie’s, apartment playing games and hanging out, as teenagers. He was a very kind and gentle man. I’ve never met anyone yet, that loved Halloween as much as Rob. RIP “Charlie”
To Finn family: My heartfelt condolences on the sudden passing of Rob. I met Rob many years ago through a close friend of both of us, John Pittman. I live just a few blocks from John. Many times when I would drop by for a visit, I would run into Rob. The three of us had one dear thing in common- we are all from St. John’s. We’ve had lots of grins talking about old times growing up on the ROCK. Rob could be very quiet and reserved, however when in his element, I have seen his funny side as well. He will be missed! Taken from his loved ones and friends much too soon! RIP Rob. It was a pleasure to have known you and called you my friend…………. Glen & Tracy
