Anne Parfeniuk

Anne Parfeniuk of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on January 16, 2022 at the age of 94 years.

Anne was born to Peter and Nancy Yanchar in a village near Rovno, in the present day Ukraine. The family immigrated to Canada and settled near Onoway, Alberta, and Anne eventually moved to Edmonton to start her adult life. She married John Parfeniuk in July 1961 who predeceased her in January 2000.

Anne was a fixture in the kitchen, involved with the Ukrainian-Canadian community and regularly attended St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox church.

Anne is lovingly remembered and survived by her children Deborah Parr, Dennis (Marnie) Parr and four grandchildren: Kassian, Daria, Natalia and Julian.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rosslyn Place, Country Cottage and the Grey Nuns Hospital for their care and compassion.
