Ronald Robert Frank
Ronald Robert Frank, better known as Ron, passed away at the age of 74 in Edmonton, Alberta on December 25, 2021 after his battle with cancer. Ron is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Amelia (Minnie) Frank. He leaves behind his loving wife Anne and their children Victoria Frank, and Velvet Frank, Shelley (Stewart) Zimmel and grandchildren Ashley and Nick.
Ron grew up in Estevan with his older brother Lorne (Bonnie) Frank and followed by his younger sister Carol Frank.
Ron was known for his dry humor, calm presence, and love of sports. He will be missed by his lifelong friends; ranging from his work associates to his baseball and basketball teammates, and his many golf partners.
Ron fought hard and stayed strong for his family this past year. He will be remembered as a quiet yet gentle soul who loved playing and watching sports. Everyone who knew him would attest to the fact that he was a kind and caring man who always saw the good in others and life in general. We will all miss his dry wit and he will forever be in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the charity S.C.A.R.S

Thank you for your condolences. We really appreciate it.
Ron was a great friend,co worker & golfing partner.
One of our greatest memories was when Ron would get a great drive & “duff” his second shot! Ron would say “Nice Drive Ron” & smile at us across the fairway.
We have many great memories of our times shared with Ron & Anne in Palm Springs & here at home.
In closing,to quote, those who bring sunshine into our lives, will always be remembered.
What a lovely message. Thank you so much for your remembrances.
Condolences to all of Ron’s family and friends for your loss.
Ron was a trusted friend who played by the rules, even when they weren’t in his favour. He could be counted on in any situation to offer his best effort and he never hesitated to use his dry humour when the chips were down.
I will remember him fondly as a the best “rescue” golfer I ever met. There was no rough too thick, or dog leg too far, that he couldn’t conquer.
We’ll miss you, but we’ll remember you through the stories we tell for the rest of our lives.
Thank you for your lovely wishes. We greatly appreciate your message.
Farewell to a ‘GENTLEMAN’ who always displayed a calm presence with everyone he met. I will miss playing golf with him and hearing his “Oh, Ron” on a bad golf shot.
Thank you. We will miss him terribly as well.
Ann a loss like this is felt by all. I will miss a really great friend in Ron. My deepest sympathy.
Thank you Glen. We appreciate your supportive message.
Ron was a kind, co-operative, and considerate fellow with a subtle and keen sense of humour. It was a pleasure to know and golf with him. He will be missed.
Thank you Richard. We will miss him too.
Ron was an inspiration to me in the way he dealt with his health concerns. I will miss his positive outlook and friendly demeanour, but most of all his laugh.
Thank you for your message. We appreciate your support.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Hope the comfort of your happy memories help you through this time.
Thank you.
