Michelle Tymchuk
Moosh, Mitch, Michelle….everyone’s Hockey Mom are all the many ways that we remember Michelle Corinne Tymchuk, whom we sadly lost on October 2, 2021. She was a unique soul who is remembered for her many gestures of kindness towards her family, friends, and her hockey family. She lived a full life.
Moosh is remembered for many things but especially her unending support for family and friends. On many occasions Moosh would stop what ever she was doing to accommodate her needy brother Tim and her nephews Tyler, Bret, and Troy. In the late hours of the night or early morning hours she would make time to pick up “items” for Tim and the boys, be the DD to a party she wasn’t invited to, or drive the boys to Calgary for a Bachelor party.
A second mother to her nieces Tayler, Tara, and nephew Cody, she was the one to make Friday dinners the hardest decision in the house. They remember her for taking them to concerts and winning almost all contests she entered into. Her sister Karen’s weekend trips to “Costcos”, “Safevays”, “Save-ons”, “Walmarts” will be one less without Moosh, literally, the sisters went shopping every weekend. And as Baba’s baby, Genevieve will miss the many couch cuddles and her boisterous nature.
She dedicated her time not only to her family, but also to her work family. She worked tirelessly for 21 years with Edmonton Public Schools and is remembered fondly for all her many contributions. Inclusively, as a hockey manager for more than 20 years, the hockey community will surely mourn “everyone’s hockey mom” and her attention and care to her “kids”.
She was selfless, assertive, giving, kind, strong willed, stubborn, supportive, compassionate, thoughtful, reliable…she was the anchor for the Tymchuk mafia and it is with a heavy heart we say, until next time.
She is predeceased by her father Wilfred and survived by her mother Genevieve; siblings Deborah, Karen and Timothy; and nieces and nephews.

So very sorry to the family for your loss. Michelle will forever be remembered and held dearly in our hearts.
So sad to hear of Michelle’s untimely passing. Served with Michelle for many years at EPSB…had many conversations that were frequently centred around hockey. She will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her. My condolences to the family.
So many fond memories of Slo Pitch tournaments, team gatherings, Michelle organizing even then. She was a strong woman, fierce lioness when it came to family, friends and the boys she mentored, loving sister and daughter and had a life well lived and far too short. Am so sorry for your loss is not enough.
It is a great loss for all!! She had been my neighbor and childhood friend for many years! As we grow old we grow apart from some, still my friend! I will miss you my friend!!
Love to all the family!!
My deepest condolences to the Tymchuk Family❤️❤️
I remember the time Michelle and I were working/volunteering at K-Days/Chuchwagon races and we were in the infield at the racetrack. At the end of the races, we were crossing the track to go to our meeting point and it had rained and when we were crossing, Michelle lost her shoe, I went to her so she got her balance to get her shoe on.
I love you forever, Michelle♥️🤗😘
With deepest sympathy to all members of the Tymchuk Family… My family had the honour of Meeting Michelle in a hockey arena. Such a kind heart and soul when it came to hockey and all the boys, My ♥️ Is with you all threw this sad time

My deepest condolences to the Tymchuk Family. Michelle will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
My heart goes out to all of you, Michelle was an amazing human. I can’t imagine a world without Moosh, from chance run ins to being her Home Hardware source and garlic butter provider! Even though I didn’t see her often I considered her a special friend. She was telling me how much more work it was managing hockey during Covid, but I am guessing she took it all in stride. My heart is just broken. She loved each and everyone of you dearly… sending you big big hugs💕
Our condolences to all of you, she always had a smile and will be missed.

Michelle made a special connection with me through work. We spent many meetings planning and problem solving so that kids could be accommodated. But what I will miss is her spirit; she made her way into so many of our hearts at Edmonton Public Schools.

Our sincere condolences to Michelle’s family.
I did not work directly with Michelle but I do work in another department within EPSB and would run into Michelle in the Atrium at the Centre for Education we would always take a moment and catch up, a lot of laughter and remembering when she was a “hockeymom” to my youngest son. She will be forever missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with Michelle’s family.
My deepest condolences to the Tymchuk family.
As part of her EPSB family, I will miss her so much, her laugh, her sense of humor, all the help she provided over the years.
There’s a new angel in heaven to watch over us and all the children riding the yellow buses.
