Walter John Yakimchuk
It is with great sorrow, sadness and much love, that we say goodbye to our beloved Walter who passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021 at the age of 90.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 66 years Margaret Rose (Tanton), daughter Brenda (Brian), grandchildren, Shane (Jessica), Amber Rose (Jason) and Courtney, as well as his great grandchildren, Brady, Peyton, Mackenzie and Declan, along with many more friends and family.
So many wonderful memories of times spent together with him, will be forever embedded in our hearts. He was a kind man who cared about his family more than anything in the world.
Walter loved to garden and believed...

On behalf of the family, we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Dickinsfield Extended Care for their compassionate care and support during his stay there. We will miss him dearly, but know that he is at peace now, but will always be forever in our hearts.
Cremation has already taken place and due to Covid restrictions, a private family Celebration of Life will be held.
Deepest condolences to the family hugs to all of you
The last thing I wanted people to tell me when my dad passed was that he is in a better place. Yes he is but I miss him like crazy.
Be strong everyone.
Sorry to hear of Walter’s passing and sending you our deepest condolences.
Neighbor and school buddy of Smoky Lake..
I have fond memories of a fishing trip with my Uncle Walter many years ago.
I remember him as a real easy going guy with a great sense of humor and lots of fun to hang out with. He was a skilled outdoorsman and able to catch three times as many fish as the rest of us.
My deepest sympathies to his entire family.
