James “Jim” Irwin Lindsay
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father James “Jim” Irwin Lindsay on July 1st 2021 at the age of 92.
He was predeceased by his loving wife our mother Maria “Ria” Lindsay, May 16th 2000. Jim will be greatly missed by, his children, Shelley (Tony) Cronin, Joanne (Peter) Buhler and Jim (Teresa) Lindsay. He was immensely proud of his nine grandchildren, William (Vanessa), Stephen (Kaitlyn), Coleman, Reid, Conner, Katharine, Cassandra, Spencer and Logan.
Jim born in Toronto began to travel across Canada at the age of 16, working in many various cities at jobs from lumber mills to construction work. He moved to in Edmonton in 1963 where he met and married Maria a year later. He worked as a Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, Homebuilder and was a passionate Artist who loved to paint landscapes of the Rocky Mountains.
Jim would renovate, design and build many homes in the Edmonton and the Stony Plain area. There are so many good memories of our family has of camping trips to the Mountains and BC in campers designed and built by Dad.
In later years Jim and Ria would love taking trips together to Vancouver Island and he dearly cherished those memories after her passing. We take comfort in the knowledge that they are now together again.
I have so many good memories of spending summers with Uncle Jim and Auntie Ria and my cousins. My favourite aunt and uncle always smiling and good natured. I felt so much love from them. Shelley, Joanne and Jimmy my deepest condolences and much much love to you.
