Trudie Sonja Shafer
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Trudie Sonja Shafer on October 22, 2016, at the age of 57 years.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sons; Jessie, Richard, Kevin and Trevor; her mother, Frieda; her sisters, Petra (Paul) and Margarete; and her brother, Douglas.

It is with a very heavy heart I heard of Trudies passing. My sincere condolences to Trudies boys and family. For the brief time I knew Trudie I saw her compassion and love for her sons.

mom I truly am sorry for being a problematic son .the last time we seen each other I wanted to say” I trulylove you mom ” I hope you passed away knowing that I never meant to hurt you or make u cry .every bad thing I ever said I didn’t mean you were my only mom and u taught me what I needed to know to live life I will miss you and always will love you mom goodbye til the next time we see eachother rest in peace
It is with much sadness to hear of Trudy’s passing. We had not seen each other much over the past 20 plus years as I moved to the Yukon with my family. But I always very much enjoyed Trudy’s down to earthness, her kindness and her quick humour. I also admired Trudy for raising her sons on her own after she and Byron split. Trudy has left 4 great sons and I hope all 4 of you remember that when someone departs from this earth, they never truly leave, as they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, your mom/Trudy will not be forgotten.
I am truly sorry for your loss. Trudie will be greatly missed! She was an amazing person with a huge heart. I am fortunate and thankful for the time I was able to get to know her personally.

what a kind gentle soul kind loving person she was,
its so sad she had to go so soon, but now she’s not in pain and able to watch over everyone that means the most to her.
We will miss you dearly Trudie you were such a good operator at yellow cab Nightshift isn’t the same without you.
I’ll always think of you every time 10pm rolls around and the hand scan doesn’t work for people, as it never liked to work for you.
Sonja was my dearest friend for 47 years,she was honest,real and had a heart of gold. She had a hard life working hard to support and raise her 4 boys on her own but she never complained. Sonja left a big void in the hearts of those who loved her,and I wish we could of had more time together,we had so much more to say to each other and do together. Sonja,you loved Angels and now you are one,spread your wings and fly as you are free of your earthly pain and burdens…Miss you so much my sweet Angel,,,,,Till we meet again………Love you much ! xxxx
