Corrie Jane Chehorsky

Corrie Jane Chehorsky passed away at the age of 70 at the Gerald Zetter Care Facility in Edmonton Alberta on May 4, 2016. Corrie was born in Canora Saskatchewan on November 8th 1945 to William and Anne Chehorsky. She was the third daughter of 11 children. Although Corrie was born in Saskatchewan, she resided in Edmonton Alberta for the majority of her adult life and was a proud transit operator and ATU 569 member for the Edmonton Transit System for 25 years. Corrie had 2 children, who she was a steadfast and fiercely dedicated mother to. She loved gardening, nature and her Grandchildren, Nikki Rae Taylor, Vanessa Nicole Norsten and Victoria Leanne Norsten. Her Pride and joy, however, was her great granddaughter Hudson Kennedy Taylor. Corrie was predeceased by her father William Chehorsky, mother Anne Chehorsky, sisters Wilma and Valerie and her beloved son Derrick Jason Norsten. Corrie is survived by her daughter Didi (Edythe Anne) Taylor, granddaughter’s Nikki Rae Taylor, Vanessa Nicole Norsten and Victoria Leanne Norsten and her great granddaughter Hudson Kennedy Taylor. Corrie is also survived by her brothers and sisters Lu, Alice, Bonnie, Adeline, Debbie, Johnnie, Yvonne and Claude.

Corrie will be remembered and dearly missed in all of our hearts, until we meet again.

A Celebration of life will be held on May 28th, 2016. Time and location in/or around Canora to be determined.
