Elliott Orson Paul Aube
It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we announce the passing of Elliott Aube on Thursday, April 21, 2016.
Left to cherish his memory are wife Amanda, son Hayden, daughter Payton, father Aaron, mother Linda, brother Todd (Nicolle), father and mother in-law John and Lorraine, sister and brother in-laws Jessica, Joshua and Ethan, nephew Nicolas, nieces Emma and Scarlett along with many close and extended family and friends.
Elliott was a devoted husband and father to his two children which where his greatest accomplishments. Elliott enjoyed the simple things that life had to offer which included Snowmobiling, Fishing, Golfing and most of all spending quality time with his kids, family and friends.
Elliott was a veteran with 22 years of service in the Canadian forces. He retired in 2010 and moved on to continue his career in facility maintenance for the past 6 years. He was a devoted and passionate employee well liked amongst his peers and anyone that came across his path.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 (13:00) at the Warrant Officers/Sergeants Mess-Elhorn Room (210 Ortona Road, Lancaster Park).
In lieu of gifts or flowers donations to the PTSD Association of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
You were a great role model on my first tour in Bosnia. Never forget you making fun of my Fantasy books. Rest in peace.
Well I would like to say how very sorry i’am for the your loss. He was always a great person who was always funny and happy. Great soldier and man. He will always be remembered peace brother!

I am so sorry for your loss. I was incredibly good friends with Elliot back in his early army days, and even though we lost contact over the years, I still consider him one of me closest friends. He was a good man, and I loved his boisterous laugh when he found something really funny.

I was lucky enough to be his section commander in Basic training and in Winnipeg. Aube was a great guy and one of my favourites . My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Elliott was an amazing man who enriched everyone he knew. His smile was infectious and he brightened this world. Haydon and Payton have a guardian angel watching them every step now and my prayers are with you for strength.
Too many leave us far too soon. My heartfelt condolences to Amanda, the twins and families, it is difficult to put into words our sadness at hearing the aweful news. As fellow soldiers, albeit British, we continue to morn the loss of our comrades, both during service and long after. We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Elliott until after he left the army. It seems there is a theme here in that we found him to be an outwardly happy, smiling, fun guy who enjoyed life and was the first person to help others. He showed humility on the golf course, he was much better than me (wasn’t he John), and in the club house, a true gentleman.

Linda, No words can express my deepest sympathy. There is no greater grief than losing a child, my heart aches for you! Elliott was a treasured colleague and friend. I worked with him the last 6 years at the Correctional Facility. I was looking forward to meeting you at his celebration of life, to give you a comfort hug and give thanks to you for the great son you raised. He was an amazing young man with so many gifted qualities. He was loved and respected. He will be forever missed. My sincere condolences to Todd, Linda, Aaron and Elliott’s wife and children. I will always remember Elliott as one of the cool older boys who hung out with my dear Dobson cousins. I was a pesky younger girl that was always trying to tag along and I remember Elliott was always kind to me. I also remember him singing “Tide is high” by Blondie in front of a campfire near their A-frame cottage. I suppose he must have been 10 or 11 because that was a big hit in 1980. He had longish blonde curly hair then and seemed like a fun-loving goof. I’m sure he made many more wonderful memories with his loved ones. Linda and family, I don’t know how to express how sorry I am for your loss of Elliot. Sometimes we’re given trials in life that we don’t understand but have to accept. Thank God for memories that can make us smile even when our hearts are heavy. We will always remember Elliot as the quiet one who spent much of his childhood on Riverside Dr and Beresford Beach with our boys, running in the fields, playing sports, running on the beach or travelling across the lagoon to explore. Those are some of our great times as family friends. I know as an adult Elliot filled your lives with pride and love. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, and Linda, I hope the ache you feel now will soon fade so your heart feels only that love and pride again. Our hearts are breaking for you all. We cannot imagine the pain you are going through as Elliott’s mother, father, wife, brother, children,sister-in-law, niece and nephew. Linda always spoke so proudly and lovingly of her Elliott when he had to leave for the Middle East and so relieved when he returned to Canada. May he now be at peace.
