Wayne Donald Jones
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, and brother Wayne “Dashy” Jones. Wayne passed away on April 13th, 2016 at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton. He was born in High Prairie, AB on March 4, 1949 to the late Edna and Paul Jones. Wayne started his career working in construction but ended up finding his true niche in the oil and gas industry. High Prairie, Grande Cache, Red Deer, Red Earth and Slave Lake were all “stops in the road” for Wayne until he finally settled for good in Edmonton. He was an avid sports fan who absolutely loved the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Blue Jays. He also enjoyed going to live jams with friends, had a passion for horse racing and was an excellent golfer who couldn’t wait for summer to come so he could play a few rounds with his family and friends. Wayne will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son Ryan Paul Jones of Blackfalds, AB, his brother Robert Thomas Jones of Edmonton, AB and many, many dear friends. We will always love and remember you Dad - there will never be another to replace you in our hearts.
