  3. Hello Neil, Ginger, Mac and families, I am planning to attend this memorial for Toots. Looking forward to being there with you, to share in your grief and farewell to a fine person. It was because of Toots that I worked at Longson Tammets & Denton… she thought a woman should have a chance to do the job… And she was always so gracious, having us over for dinners and parties. I also appreciate that you both came to visit me and my mother in Creston. My memories of Toots are of a strong, bright, cheerful woman who always made me feel welcome. God Bless You All. Holly Pender-Love, Trail, BC

  9. We send ur condolences to you and the family. Toots was ssuch a gracious and loving person. She will be missed. I (Alan) remember how you invited my mother and I to spend Christmas Dinner with you following my father’s death. Then too, my association continued when Ginger and Neil were my students at Hadisty Junior High.

  10. It’s been over half a century we’ve known the Longsons, Neil and Toots, Mac and Ginger. It’s so sad to learn of the passing of Toots, who was such a bastion of strength. Feisty yet quiet-spoken, she was never hesitant to speak her mind and we always knew where she stood. An admirable quality indeed! And her gentle sense of humor, which was such an innate part of her person! We are so grateful for that last visit in 2015 when we spent a pleasant time together on a beautiful sunny day in Lynn Valley, here in North Vancouver, reminiscing about the old days in Edmonton — oh! was it really that long ago? Now, at this sad time, our thoughts are very much with Neil, Mac and Ginger, their loved ones, grandchildren and all the extended Longson family.
